Torrent speeds slow? Patch it up

Having trouble with your torrent speed latley? Do you use Windows XP service pack (SP)2? Then there is a solution for you. Alot of people have been complaining lately that their torrent speeds are slower than they used to be, their IRC, HTTP and FTP downloads seem to be fine, but BitTorrent speeds max out between 25 to 50 kbps. This problem happens because of a "patch" introduced in XP SP2 that limits the number of TCP connections to 10 per cycle as, which means that you will only be able to maintain connection to about 10 peers at a time.

So, if you use XP SP2 and you have noticed that your torrent speeds are slower than they should be check out this fix. It changes the amount of max peers you can connect to from 10 to whatever you specify.

Realize that in doing this you are leaving yourself vaulnerable to worms and other attacks. This fix is available in both german and english.
