ATARI - EXE - LICENSE

Λοιπόν το κουφό...
Πριν καμια ώρα στο Freefalcon έκανε post - thread ένα παλικάρι που επικοινώνησε με κάποιον υπάλληλο της Αtari και τον ρώτησε σχετικά με την άδεια και του είπε ότι έχει λήξει η χρονική διάρκεια για την οποία είχε τα δικαιώματα του EXE η ATARI. Τον ρώτησε ποιος έχει δηλ. τώρα τα δικαιώματα??
Και του απάντησε " δεν ξέρω"
και λογικό είναι εφόσον η εταιρία που τα πούλησε στην ATARI δεν υπάρχει πλέον....άρα υπάρχει κενό στο θέμα...
To post αφαιρέθηκε σβήστηκε σε χρόνο DT.... Για να καταλάβετε στο προηγούμενό μου refresh είχε χαθεί..
Δεν πρέπει να ήταν πλάκα γιατί το παλικάρι είχε δημοσιευμένα mail ονοματεπώνυμα κ.λ.π....... και ρωτούσε για να δουν τι ισχύει τελικά και τι μπορεί να γίνει πλέον....
Πήρε τίποτα το μάτι σας?????

Thank you for responding indeed. It is difficult to estimate but I would say batches of 500 would be sufficient to start with. Once marketing on the Expansion Pack begins, I am sure demand would be greater.

Having been involved with the Falcon 4.0 community for over 3 years, I know that if the product was still available for sale, it would generate sales indeed.

My name is Greg McEwan-Marriott from combat360 productions (www.combat360.com), and based in Langebaan, South Africa. Our 4falcon4 development team has been working on a project called the Angolan Theatre for close to 2 years, based on the Falcon 4 engine. We did a beta preview of our product on December 03 at the Ysterplaat Air Show, and were overwhelmed by the interest both at the show and from the international flight sim community. The South African Air Force is equally impressed and wishes to "incorporate" the project as part of their "Young Falcons" Youth programme, which aims to get the underprivileged youth interest in flying. We are close to completing a "real cockpit simulator" to run the Angolan Theatre and Falcon 4.

Unfortunately, and I have had many enquiries, especially amongst the South African community, Falcon 4 is no longer available for sale. Our entire project runs as an expansion pack on top of Falcon 4. At the time we reached crucial decision time to go ahead with the project, the re-release of Falcon seemed 100% certain (Falcon 5).

We have invested 2 years of finances and time into the project and with the exceptionally positive public interest in the Angolan Theatre; we will have the beta ready for launch July 2005.

I guess this is where I am "totally lost" as to "how to approach" Atari for help. Initially I was hoping we could get some sort of "distribution rights" to redistribute the original Falcon 4 engine with our release, but I guess that would involve huge amounts of capital outlay, which we simply do not have. What we have is the skill sets, time and resources to carry on with development, at our own costs.

We could (but I would think that would not be acceptable), ask Atari if we could repress Falcon 4 in batches of say 500 copies, with packaging and pressing at our own costs, and then offer Atari the money generated from the sales... at the end of the day, all we want is to be able to distribute the Angolan Theatre.

Could you please advise us on the best route to follow
